New allotments at Longstock

LONGSTOCK has no allotments but has established that there is a need. The parish council has agreed to lease a one-acre field which is to be converted but will require fencing, an entrance gate and the laying on of water.

The field will be divided into 12 plots, some of which will be let as half-plots. One plot is being set aside for the village’s youth club. Once established, the allotments will be self-funding from rental income.
