Toilet block at Old Willow Works

THE Old Willow Works was used between the 1890's and 1940's for basket making. It was on the verge of demolition three years ago when the community project was initiated to restore the works as a permanent display for the local archive and a place to carry out education and training events.

The grant will be used to convert an old stable block to an external toilet facility which will allow the grounds of the Willow Works to be enjoyed by the local community and visitors.

The toilet block will use rain water capture to minimise its environmental impact.
